Adsense Notifier – Firefox Plugin Sunday, Aug 6 2006

If you use Firefox and have an Adsense account, you probably already know about the Adsense Notifier extension.

Great extension. I didn’t realize how often I look at it until it was crippled by a recent change in the login procedure by Google. This was bad timing, as it happened at about the same time that Firefox released v1.5.0.6, making it look like it could be browser problem. Anyway, thumbs-up to the creator for quickly fixing it!

Gmail acting up? Thursday, Jul 27 2006

Is it just me, or is Gmail being a pain today? Sometimes it seems okay, but other times I can login and read mail, but not delete it or do anything else without getting a “Your action was unsuccessful. Please try again.” error.

Update: Seems fine now–but I was getting that error w/different browsers & computers, so I don’t know what that was all about.

Netgear WGR614 v6 Wireless Router Review Friday, Jun 16 2006

After years of reliable service, I figured it was time to give my old Netgear MR314 Wireless router a break, so I ordered a new Netgear WGR614 wireless router based on my good luck with the last one.

Well, it’s 6/6/06 and still no sign of Satan rising up from Hell.

Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector Monday, May 15 2006

Surprisingly, Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector is one of the funniest movies I’ve seen. I just saw it last night at the $1.50 theater and I’d rank it right up there with Dumb and Dumber, Old School, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, Super Troopers, Tommy Boy, etc…

Update: I have now seen this movie 3 times.  I’m pretty sure that either makes me the coolest person alive, or just some guy that had nothing better to do than watch the same movie 3 times.  I’m pretty sure it’s the first one, though.

iPower $2.95 Domains with Free WHOIS Privacy Sunday, Apr 2 2006

Update: Like most things that don’t suck, this deal didn’t last forever. Luckily, the link will still forward to their $6.50 domains, which is still a pretty good price.

Okay, I guess paying less than $3 for a domain isn’t amazing anymore, since Yahoo has gone as low as $1.99 and some hosts give you a free one when you sign up for hosting, but…

What’s different about the iPowerWeb deal is that your $2.95 gets you both the domain AND free WHOIS privacy.

South Park: Good Riddance to Chef (Isaac Hayes) Thursday, Mar 16 2006

It’s funny that Isaac Hayes has no problem with jokes when they have to do with non-Scientology religions, or other non-offensive topics like nailing multiple white women. But when a cartoon jokes about Scientology, it’s time for Chef to put on his Cartman voice and say, “Screw you guys, I’m going home”? Good riddance!

This is how Trey Parker and Matt Stone should write his sorry ass out of their great show:
