If you’re using Firefox as your default browser, congratulations! This means you’re smarter than people that don’t use it, or at least that’s what I like to think and tell people. With a wide selection of available extensions, it can do just about anything you’d want it to.

If you’re using something else (Opera, Internet Explorer, etc…), you should click the orange Firefox button on the right side of this page and start using a decent browser before people start thinking that you’re retarded.

Back when I was stupid, I used IE, Netscape, and Opera. Now, I use Firefox and everybody loves me.

As of IE 6, I don’t see Internet Explorer as serious competition in the browser world, regardless of how many people use it. If Windows didn’t come with a browser, and people had to go out of their way to install IE, I think the numbers would change. Slow, no tabs, tons of exploits… what’s not to love?

I used Opera as my default browser for quite some time, and I still like it — but I can’t find anything about it that I can’t duplicate with Firefox + extensions. I’ve also come across pages that were designed for IE that caused Opera to choke, but Firefox would display them just fine. Firefox also feels faster to me, plus I like the overall layout better.

Once you download and install Firefox, check out the extensions that are available here. If you browse by popularity, you’ll see what most people are using–but it’s all about personal preference. Here are the Firefox extensions that I can’t live without: Adblock, All-In-One-Sidebar, DOM Inspector, Download Manager Tweak, DownThemAll!, FasterFox, Flashgot, FLST, ForecastFox, FoxyTunes, GMail Manager, MeasureIt, Mouse Gestures, Paste and Go, PDF Download, Resize Search Box, SessionSaver, Tabbrowser Preferences, Web Developer.

So, if you haven’t already clicked on the button, get Firefox with Google toolbar now!
